Lichens

The longer that driveways or patios are left un-maintained, the increased development of lichens become inevitable.

Lichens are an alliance between an algae and a fungus. They can be noticed through the distinctive dark or even creamy colour spots and blemishes developing on your paving. They could be said to resemble the form of mildew but on a larger size.

For the homeowne, Lichens can prove to be a difficult substance to completely remove. They absorb into the substrate of the paving with their penetrating roots and extract enhanced levels of minerals whilst developing a steadfast grip. Many of our customers often comment that once these fungal are removed, the paving looks a lot better but more importantly is less slippery.
